Ride the spring classic style climbs of the Santa Barbara Foothills in support of Alpha Resource Center, a 60 year old Santa Barbara organization which provides support for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The 70 mile scenic route is filled with short, steep climbs and ocean views that is sure to challenge the legs and provide a day in the saddle you’ll never forget. The 30 mile route along the foothills and shore of Santa Barbara is another option for intermediate level riders.
The “Imagine a World” Cycling Classic was inspired in 2008 by two families whose children receive services from Alpha as a way to promote inclusion for people with disabilities and to support life-changing, empowering services for over 2,200 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Santa Barbara County.
2013 marks Alpha’s 60th Anniversary serving people in Santa Barbara county. Alpha holds a vision for a world “where all people are treated with dignity and respect.” The “Imagine a World” Cycling Classic supports Alpha Resource Center in continuing the valuable services and support they provide faithfully year after year for children and adults with developmental disabilities. All proceeds benefit Alpha Resource Center.
