This is BIG. EPIC BIG! Mark your calendars now and arrange your scheduled training to join us for a BIG day of training with the LA Tri Club - Saturday, July 27th! We are hosting them for a Santa Barbara Triathlon Training Day and Course Preview and ending the day with lunch and beverages in the Funk Zone (Shalhoobs Patio). We need all of you to join us and make them feel at home.
We'll also have our club Roka Rep at the event to demo wetsuits and other amazing Roka gear and anyone who RSVP's for this event will be entered into a raffle for free Roka gear, possibly a wetsuit will be among the prizes (and maybe a few other valuable items from Rudy Project).
If you'd like to demo a wetsuit or other gear, please complete this questionnaire by Monday, July 22nd so that we can ensure we have enough of the right sizes and styles for everyone.
We've created an Event on the Santa Barbara Triathlon Facebook Group - You'll provide us your RSVP there or use the link below to RSVP (please RSVP only once) - and if you would like to try on some wetsuits, let us know approximately what size you wear so our Rep will be prepared with enough for demo!!
Here's what our Big Day of Training Includes:
Saturday, July 27th - East Beach (West parking lot area)
9:00 AM - Arrive a bit early and squeeze into your wetsuit (unless you plan to demo one from Roka) for a short 1/2 mile swim. We'll have options for open water instruction instead of the actual swim for those who desire specific practice.
10:00 AM - We'll head out on our bike ride. There will be two course options: Full Triathlon Course (34 miles with some hefty climbs), or a Shorter Version (approximately 15-18 miles with a little climbing). We'll have group leaders for different paces.
12:30 PM - We'll hit a short to moderate run, about 45 minutes. That will be 4-6 miles out and back on the SB Triathlon run course.
2:30 PM - Lunch and Beverages and recovery with fun people - Shalhoob's Patio in the Funk Zone
Refreshments will be available throughout the morning!! Please plan on joining us and if you'd like to help in some way (bike leader, refreshments), please contact Cindy Abrami at firstname.lastname@example.org
