In addition to the awesome triathlon and aquabike events, new for 2020 is a bike only ride for those that would just like to cycle on the closed roads (no traffic what a concept!) on the morning of May 17th. It's a point to point, Venice to DTLA. Race officials will have bike transportation back to Venice beach if cyclist perfer not to ride back or they can take the train back to T1 in Venice Beach.
The course, constructed by one of our own local favorites, and international Race Director, Brennan Lindner of Generic Events, will have its start in iconic Venice Beach and traverse multiple neighborhoods on its way to a dramatic finish at L.A. Wear your oldest SB Tri Club gear in honor of our 25 year anniversary!

Since 1983 triathletes have traveled to Bonelli Park, on the eastern edge of Los Angeles County, to learn the sport; to shake off the winter rust and get ready for the upcoming season; to see old friends and make new friends; and to be in the midst of a fun, high-energy, multi-sport setting. The LA Tri-Series events accomplish all of that and more! If you are new to the sport of triathlon this is the perfect setting to learn open water swimming in a safe environment, cycling around as a safe course with little traffic, and a well-supported run to one of the most beautiful finish lines you will experience. If you are an experienced triathlete who has been waiting for a warm water swim and safe bike course to start off the season – this is for you also.
Come on out and be a part of history at the 40th consecutive LA Tri-Series event.
