Swim, Bike, Run, Eat, Drink, Be Merry. Train with the best, practice and test, the tradition does not rest !
This is our annual training weekend up at Lake San Antonio.
It’s a weekend of camping, training, socializing and having fun. It will either give you a chance to formalize your self with the course or remind yourself how hard the course really is!
Most people will drive up Friday afternoon and stay through midday on Sunday.
Traditionally the training is as follows:
-On Friday afternoon we swim (if you can make it up in time).
-On Saturday morning we bike the respective course that we will compete in (possibly followed by a short brick)
-On Sunday morning we run the respective course that we will compete in
-The rest of the time we Eat, Drink, Socialize, and have Fun!!
As always people of all skill levels and abilities are welcome. You can join in on whatever workouts you see fit and you do not need to be competing this year to join us!
We’ll probably do a potluck Saturday night but otherwise you’re pretty much on your own as far as food goes. If people want to get together and organize meals that’s great!
There is no need to book a group site or make reservations. We will all just grab sites in the same area. It’s very quiet at that time of year and hardly anybody is up there. We will probably camp in Lynch or Redondo Vista but look for a message on the board at the front gate when you arrive.

Please join us on June 1st, 2014 for Orange County Triathlon/Duathlon.
The race starts with a swim in beautiful Lake Mission Viejo for the triathletes and a quick 2k run on Aliso Creek Bike Path for the duathletes.
The bike courses make their way up El Toro Road and into Santiago Canyon where the turn around is in sight of Irvine Lake. Athletes will fly back to T2 located at intersection of El Toro Road and Marguerite.
The run course starts off downhill but don't be fooled. What goes down has to go up. Athletes will make their way back to Lake Mission Viejo via a mixture of road, trails and walking paths. Hills for sure.
Finish downhill into the parking lot at Lake Mission Viejo and sprint it out along the beach to the finish line!

Starting out the day in the beautiful waters of Crystal Cove this race is not to be missed.
The run up from the Pacific Ocean to T1 is sure to get your heart rate going if the swim didn't. From there, mount your bike and make your way out of Crystal Cove and onto PCH for a bike ride that is breath-taking not only in its beauty, but the course will leave you panting as well.
Off the bike and you are tackling a run course that is sure to be fun and challenging. Be prepared to run partly on the beach and then finish overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Be sure to hang out after and take in the experience.
What makes the difference between champions and those who

The Tuesday Night Running Workout for next Tuesday, August 2, will be “off-track”, meeting at Leadbetter Beach at 6:15 (ready to run, already warmed up), at the west end, a.k.a. the Nite Moves transition. We will be doing interval repeats up the hill and down in preparation for the SB Long Course triathlon 10 mile run, which hopefully everyone has been training on. Everyone is welcome to come out and join the fun, to help boost your training and build your confidence in preparation for race day. Bring a watch or your HRM, I hope to see you there! Fred
