Erica (our current Treasurer), recently relocated to Colorado, but has been continuing to help the club from afar. Erica will eventually step down as Treasurer, and to prepare for that moment we are seeking an Assistant Treasurer to train with Erica prior to taking over as the official Treasurer.
Assistant Treasurer:
This role is great for someone who is looking to transition into the Treasurer position and/or a great way to join the Board & get more involved without having to take on a lot of responsibility or hours.
An Assistant Treasurer helps (currently remote!) Treasurer with in-person tasks such as: checking the mail at Hazards, depositing checks/cash at the bank, writing physical checks, & collecting cash/checks at meetings.
The Assistant Treasurer is welcome to take on as much as they want with additional tasks including - but not limited to - monthly bank reconciliations on Quickbooks Online, tax filings, handling member questions in person or via email, joining Board meetings, reviewing financials & helping to put together the annual budget, & whatever other financial matters might come up.
Please note: **No experience necessary **
Written procedures for each task exist in detail and the current Treasurer will be around to train the Assistant & is always one phone call/text/email away.
